Inside Louis Vuitton's NYC Store Opening Party and Best Dressed Celebrities
A closer look at Louis Vuitton’s NYC store opening, its celebrity attendees, and its exclusive capsule collection inspired by the city.
Louis Vuitton unveiled its stunning, new five-story store in New York City on Thursday night with a star-studded affair.
Celebrities joined, congregating at the new building, which is only a temporary spot for Louis Vuitton. Ana de Armas joined, sporting a mini dress and knee-high boots by the brand. Cynthia Ervio joined wearing a Wicked-green gown (the actor is mid-press tour for the forthcoming film where she plays Elphaba). Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Connelly, and Martha Stewart also walked the carpet.
The new store, located at 6 E. 57th Street, boasts an exterior plastered in trunk motifs, emblematic of the French luxury brand. Inside, there's a floor dedicated to Le Café, the brand's debut culinary venture in the U.S. by Michelin caliber chefs Christophe Ballanca and Mary George. The restaurant has a literary twist thanks to its Ian Luna-curated library of 600 books. In addition to the multi-level shopping experience, the French fashion house is offering an exclusive capsule collection dedicated to New York City complete with playful, taxi-yellow Neverfull Inside Out bags and Capucines touched by the city's signature skyscrappers. OMA’s Shohei Shigematsu is behind the interior.
