You Can Now Get Your Dog Tag Engraved at Louis Vuitton
It's not a dog park! It’s Louis Vuitton’s pop-up.
Thursday morning, the French luxury maison revealed a temporary, dog-themed boutique in New York City's fashionable SoHo neighborhood. Even the dark wood interiors have dog-detailing, with paws sculpted into the bottom of columns. The pop-up features items from the men’s Spring/Summer 2025 Pre-Collection, designed by Menswear Creative Director Pharrell Williams, and a series of items and activations for your canine friend. There's even a station for personalized dog tag engravings.
The collection itself revels in the aesthetic appeal at the nexus of modern cosmopolitan and English heritage. Enter, the “dog-walking dandy,” as noted in the brand's press release, which incorporates codes from typical dog show fashions, traditional suiting, and streetwear. Each look is something Pharrell could imagine someone wearing on a promenade with their pet.
The pop-up perfectly appeals to those who are stylish and like their dogs to be dressed well, too. It immediately conjures images of Y2K-feeling Louis Vuitton dog carriers and leashes on celebrities like Paris Hilton. High-fashion accessories for pets have been increasing over the past few years, from Christian Louboutin's launch in 2022 to Rachel Antonoff and Susan Alexandra's dog show at New York Fashion Week this past September. "Dog LVers" carries the baton, offering shoppers something experiential.
Pharrell must have dandies on the brain for this collection and pop-up. After all, he’s co-chairing the 2025 Met Gala that pays homage to the rich legacy of Black dandies. Pharrell, who took the reins of the French brand’s menswear on Valentine's Day 2023, continues to helm the house with ingenious creativity. From his Minecraft-looking reinterpretation of Louis Vuitton’s historic Damier print in his debut collection to his viral, million-dollar handbag, Pharrell's impact on the house is already unmissable. (On top of that, he’s still involved in other creative projects like producing next year’s forthcoming film starring Halle Bailey.)
The space will remain open through early December, per the brand’s press release. It’s the only pop-up dedicated to the Spring/Summer Pre-Collection and the only one containing the full scope of dog accessories.
