Lady Gaga introduced her partner Michael Polansky as her fiancé when she spoke to French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal at the Olympics in Paris, seemingly confirming engagement rumors. Polansky is a tech entrepreneur and executive director of the Parker Foundation. The two have been dating for more than four years.

The Olympics have just begun, but the games have already been a major moment for Gaga's career; she was the first performance at the opening ceremony on the Seine in an unforgettable French cabaret number complete with pink feathers and red lipstick on Friday.

In a video posted to the Prime Minister's TikTok account on Sunday, Lady Gaga can be heard casually introducing Polansky as "my fiancé, Michael." The Prime Minister posted the video to express his gratitude to Lady Gaga for her performance at the opening ceremony; he didn't make any mention of their engagement.

Rumors of a potential engagement between the pair sparked a few months ago in April, when Lady Gaga was spotted wearing a large diamond ring on her left ring finger while out and about in Los Angeles.

The singer has been dating Polansky for over four years now. The couple was first spotted together at a 2020 New Year's Eve party in Las Vegas, but Lady Gaga later made the relationship Instagram official with a post in February of that year. In April of 2020, she referred to Polansky as "the love of my life" in an interview with MSNBC. After spending the COVID-19 quarantine together, the couple is going strong and keeping a low profile.

Lady Gaga's appearance in Paris for the Olympics comes at the beginning of the next big phase of her career. As fans gathered outside of her hotel room in excitement, the pop star thanked them for all of their support by coming outside and playing a snippet of a song from the new album. With her starring role as Harley Quinn in Joker: Folie à Deux beside Joaquin Phoenix set to release on October 4th and hints and clues being dropped about her upcoming seventh album (referred to as LG7 by fans), performing at the opening ceremony is just the beginning for Lady Gaga fans in the next few months.
