Every Celebrity Spotted at the 2024 Olympic Games Prelude Party
Before the 2024 Paris Olympics began, stars from stage and screen came together for a night of music, fashion, and celebration.
Last night, before the Paris 2024 Olympic Games opening ceremony, the Louis Vuitton Foundation hosted a prelude to the Olympic Games party. Needless to say, the attendees were a star-studded collection of music, sports, and fashion icons. From Charlize Theron (Mad Max: Fury Road) and Zendaya (Challengers) to athletes like Serena Williams and LeBron James, the star quality in the room was palpable. Not to mention, in a shocking guest appearance, Dr. Jill Biden, dressed in a custom white suit, made her rounds.
Zendaya absolutely shined in a black floor-length Louis Vuitton gown, with Charlize looking statuesque in a white mini dress. The former also had a wholesome interaction with legendary director Spike Lee, who expressed his joy at her recent successes.
Meant to evoke the magic of the Olympic Games and the extensive history of competition and pageantry, this party was a collaborative effort. Pharrell Williams, Louis Vuitton Menswear's Creative Director, put together a lineup of internationally acclaimed artists, including Derek Fordjour, Honor Titus, and Julia Chiang. Their mission was to design art installations featuring interactive games attendees could enjoy.
Pharrell kicked off the party by teasing his new single, “Triumphus Cosmos.” Meant to symbolize the world embracing unity and togetherness as the Olympics begins, the song's upbeat nature provided a perfect introduction for the star-studded event. South African sensation Tyla also performed her hit song 'Water' dressed in head-to-toe Louis Vuitton.
The Prelude party was organized by Vogue in collaboration with LVMH, one of the most important sponsors of the Paris Games. Anna Wintour co-hosted with LVMH boss Bernard Arnault, Comcast NBCUniversal CEO Brian Roberts, and Pharrell Williams.
