Alicia Silverstone Compliments Harry Styles' 'Clueless' Grammys Red Carpet Look
The pop singer's yellow plaid suit resembled the iconic costume of Silverstone's character, Cher.
Harry Styles' girlfriend, Olivia Wilde, may have made a comparison between the singer's leather Grammys look and Mick Jagger's on-stage style, but that wasn't the only look-alike moment the star had at the music awards show. For the red carpet, Styles wore a yellow plaid blazer, sweater vest, brown trousers, and purple feather boa, all by Gucci. Viewers were quick to spot the resemblance between his look and Alicia Silverstone's yellow plaid school ensemble as Cher Horrowitz in the 1995 favorite flick Clueless.
The actress also saw the similarity, hopping on social media to post a collage of Styles' Grammys ensemble side-by-side with a still of Cher's original look and another snapshot of her Clueless character wearing a blue satin dress and pink feather boa.
"I am loving the #Clueless vibes @Harry_Styles!! 😉💁🏼♀️ Cher would be so honored (and totally approve!!) of this chic look. 😘," Silverstone wrote.
Styles has met his fair share of fashion praise and criticism, but his gender-bending style always makes a statement.
