It's official: The Sex Lives of College Girls is renewed for Season 3. The announcement came shortly before the last episodes of Season 2 dropped and fans rejoiced over the news that the stories of our favorite four roomies aren't over quite yet. With Seasons 1 and 2 only covering their freshman year, fingers crossed we continue to get more seasons all the way up to graduation. But before we get too ahead of ourselves, here's everything we know about Season 3 of The Sex Lives of College Girls.

As show is already renewed, we could have only assumed that the core four would be returning. This includes Pauline Chalamet (Kimberly), Amrit Kaur (Bela), Alyah Chanelle Scott (Whitney), and Reneé Rapp (Leighton). In addition to the main four, hopefully, we get to see the return of supporting actors like Christopher Meyers (Canaan), Midori Francis (Alicia), Ilia Isorelýs Paulino (Lila), Lolo Spencer (Jocelyn), Renika Williams (Willow), and Mekki Leeper (Eric), and Season 2 newcomers Mitchell Slaggert (Jackson) and Charlie Hall (Andrew).

In an unexpected twist, Rapp is reportedly exiting the show during Season 3. Per Deadline, Rapp will appear in a few episodes of the season and then fully depart afterward. According to an insider that spoke to Page Six, Rapp is leaving in pursuit of her music and a desire to tour, however "she announced the tour without having clearance from the show."

"[The show is] currently working out the best creative solution for her departure," the source said. "Mindy is a multi-hyphenate and is supportive of people who want to do different things and play to their talents, but she has to figure out what happens to Renée’s character. This is not the way anyone would have wanted [Rapp’s exit] to happen."

While we can't say for sure what sophomore year will entail, the ending of Season 2 left a lot for Season 3 to unpack. *Spoilers ahead!* Kimberly, in a shocking turn of events, develops feelings for Canaan after attending an awards night together. Once she realizes that her feelings for him are more than platonic, she breaks things with off her hot commodity of a boyfriend, Jackson, and kisses Canaan. While this could be the start of a love story of the ages, it may also be the beginning of a complicated love triangle as Whitney, Canaan's ex-girlfriend, witnesses the whole interaction. If things couldn't get any more dramatic, Whitney unexpectedly requests to live in the Kappa Beta Rho house in retaliation for the Kimberly/Canaan romance.

Bela doesn't end her year any better, having been kicked out of her comedy club due to her own insensitive actions and filing a motion to transfer out of Essex. Leighton was the only one to end on a relatively happy note as she reconnected with her ex-girlfriend Alicia and is fighting the good fight at the Essex Women's Center.

With all the chaos that went down in the finale and seemingly two roommates down, Season 3 is sure to be quite the rollercoaster.

Now that we know a Season 3 has already been confirmed, the real question is when is the release date? Unfortunately, it may be quite the wait as production has yet to begin. It took about a year for Season 2 to drop after the final episodes of Season 1 aired, so hopefully, we'll get to see what our favorite Essex College gang is up to in late 2023.
