'Emily In Paris' Season 2 Has A Release Date
Watch Lily Collins return as Netflix's favorite French PR consultant.
What's better than taking a break from work and flying off to a dreamy vacation spot, even if your job is working PR in the gorgeous city of Paris? In the second season of Netflix's hit show, Emily in Paris, the titular character, played by Lily Collins, jets off to St. Tropez, France. Luckily, fans won't have to wait long to see their favorite American in Paris have her own Hot Girl Summer as the streaming platform has announced that Season 2 will premiere on December 22—just in time for Christmas vacation.
When we last left her, Emily was adjusting to life as a marketing executive in Paris. The Chicago native struggled to fit in and get her job done efficiently, something the show was widely teased for. Why didn't Emily try harder to learn the culture? Why were all the Frenchies so stereotypically glamorous and rude? According to show creator Darren Star, the man behind Sex and the City and 90210, Emily will assimilate more readily in the show's second offering.
The series, a pandemic-era release, became a getaway destination for fans stuck at home. Everything, from the fashion to the slightly cringe-inducing millennial attitudes, captured audiences' attention. Earlier this year, Emily In Paris made a splash during awards season earning two Golden Globe and two Emmy nominations.
In the latest teaser trailer, Emily arrives in the South of France with her friends. All manner of extravagant hats and mini dresses are on display. "Your French holiday awaits," it promises, before announcing that Season 2 will officially drop on December 22, available to stream only on Netflix.
