Timothée Chalamet and Ariana Grande to Star in Upcoming Netflix Comedy
Thanks to an A-list cast including Gen-Z favorites Timothée Chalamet and Ariana Grande, there's already a ton of buzz around Netflix's upcoming comedy Don’t Look Up, which the streaming service announced on Twitter this week.
Written and directed by Adam McKay, Don’t Look Up centers around two astronomers, to be played by Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence, as they go on a media tour to bring attention to a meteorite that will destroy the planet in six months. More additions to the star-studded cast include Meryl Streep, Jonah Hill, Kid Cudi, and Cate Blanchett. Filming will begin in Boston this November.
Although he hasn’t appeared in any new films this year, Chalamet has managed to stay in our thoughts. During quarantine, he's reminded us to vote Donald Trump out of office, appeared in TikTok fan edits, and, most recently, posed in his pink Juicy Couture hoodie. While we’re waiting to see him in The French Dispatch and Dune in 2021, Don’t Look Up is a welcome addition to the list.
Along with appearing in this project, Grande announced on Twitter yesterday that she’s releasing her sixth album this month. Once known for her role as Cat Valentine on Nickelodeon's Victorious, seeing her on screen again will be perfectly nostalgic.
