Just days after everyone's favorite Internet Boyfriend Regé-Jean Page announced he would not be returning for its second season, Netflix's hit period drama Bridgerton has revealed four new characters for the show's lineup. On Twitter, the streaming service released the headshots and names of the new actors: Charithra Chandran, Shelley Conn, Calam Lynch, and Rupert Young.

In February, it was reported that Simone Ashley would join the cast as Kate Sharma, Anthony Bridgerton's central love interest. As a result of this new addition, it stands to reason that, like the other characters, audiences will meet the rest of her family as well. Chandran will take on the role of Edwina Sharma, Kate's younger sister. According to the show's production company Shondaland, "Edwina has been taught by her older sister Kate to be the perfect debutante. She’s kind-natured and endlessly endearing. But while she may be young and naive, she also knows what she wants: a true love match."

Conn is set to play Kate and Edwina's mother, Mary Sharma. "Lady Mary's marriage once embroiled her and her family in scandal. Now newly returned to London with her daughters, she's forced to endure the scrutiny of the ton yet again," explained Shondaland.

Lynch will play Theo Sharps, "a hardworking printer's assistant. But he's not just a working-class man, he's also an intellectual who fights for the rights for all," the production company revealed on Instagram. The actor has appeared in Dunkirk, as well as Derry Girls alongside his new Bridgerton castmate Nicola Coughlan.

Finally, Young will play Jack, who Shondaland described as "the newest member of the ton with a connection to one of its most notable families."

The show's premiere season focused on Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor) and the Duke's love story. However, next season, fans can expect to watch Daphne's brother Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) find his match during another London social season.
