The New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2025 calendar just arrived. The highly anticipated spell of days will go down this February with at least 54 designers set to present. The beloved week will set off the month-long marathon, setting the tone for the season ahead in London, Milan, and Paris. It's bringing community together from all around the world to witness everything from designer debuts to returning classics and, of course, glitzy parties to finish each night.

The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) released the preliminary Fall/Winter 2025 schedule, with shows set to take place from February 6 to 11, 2025. While excitement around each NYFW is undeniable, its whirlwind pace can quickly spiral into disorganized chaos, leaving even seasoned attendees scrambling to keep up. Keep scrolling for a curated and comprehensive guide to help navigate the week’s most anticipated shows, notable debuts, and what else to see and do.

Returning Favorites

Fan favorites are set to return for this season’s NYFW include names like Todd Snyder, Tory Burch, Carolina Herrera, Christian Siriano, LaQuan Smith, Prabal Gurung, Brandon Maxwell, Sergio Hudson, Coach, and many more. Fforme returns to the schedule on February 7 (almost a year after its last runway), introducing new Creative Director Frances Howie, who previously honed her skills at Lanvin under Alber Elbaz and Stella McCartney. Diotima will put on its first-ever runway show February 10. Closing out the week will be none other than Thom Browne, promising a grand finale to the season.

Post-Hiatus Returns and Designer Debuts

Notable returns during fashion week tend to feel like an awe-inspiring homecoming. After a five-year hiatus from NYFW, American designer Christopher John Rogers is set to make his return, closing the first day with an 8 p.m. show on February 6. Rogers' comeback is highly anticipated, especially after his late 2024 collaboration with J.Crew. While he is known for his boldly colored and playful designs, the designer has also experimented with more restricted palettes in recent collections. His NYFW return will, without a doubt, offer sartorial surprise.

It's also a new day for Calvin Klein Collection. Italian designer Veronica Leoni will debut her first collection as creative director on February 7 at noon. This marks the brand's return to the NYFW runway after a six-year absence, as the brand's last show was in September 2018 under Raf Simons. Norma Kamali is also set to present on February 11, marking a return to NYFW after more than a decade.

Every season at NYFW, designer debuts offer a riveting experience, adding something new and innovative to the fashion scene. This season, Alexis Bittar (presentation), Gabe Gordon (runway), Leblancstudios (runway), and several more will make their first mark during the storied fashion week.

Notable Absences

This year's calendar had many doing a double take, scrolling through to confirm whether they had overlooked a label or two. This season notably lacks several prominent New York-based designers, including fan favorites Proenza Schouler and Area. Another significant absence is Helmut Lang, a New York-based brand that always left a lasting impression at NYFW. Willy Chavarria is opting to present in Paris this go-round, following a very successful year for him, including being named the CFDA's Menswear Designer of the Year.

Off-Schedule Highlights

Marc Jacobs is not on the official NYFW calendar, and that's no surprise. He's continuing his tradition of presenting off-schedule with a Spring 2025 showcase slated for February 3 at 7:30 p.m., just days before the official start of NYFW.

Parties, Events, and Pop-Ups

Beyond the runway, NYFW is renowned for its social scene and afterparties. Attendees can look forward to a myriad of appointments, parties, and exclusive events throughout the week. While specific details are still under wraps, the fashion community can count on all the soirées that complement the shows.
