Louis Vuitton Announces Pre-Fall 2024 Show in Shanghai

The upcoming show will launch the renaming of LV's destination fashion shows as "Louis Vuitton Voyager Shows."

Following a star-studded Men's Pre-Fall 2024 show in Hong Kong SAR, Louis Vuitton will return to Asia on April 18, 2024 to showcase its Pre-Fall 2024 at the Long Museum West Bund in Shanghai, China. This will be the first of the "Louis Vuitton Voyager Shows," a rebranding of the maison's destination fashion shows.

As evidenced by Pharrell's Pre-Fall 2024 show last month, this new series is Louis Vuitton's way of utilizing off-season collections to reemphasize the French fashion house's historical connection to travel. The brand's founder made a name for himself in the mid-19th century with his luxury trunks and boxes favored by the Parisian elite.

Last month, Louis Vuitton CEO Pietro Baccari told L'OFFICIEL, "Vuitton's history is linked to travel and will be increasingly linked to travel. It will be an asset that we will also bet on to give a bit of surprise to our end customer who sees a fundamental value in travel, in surprise, and in the discovery of new destinations."

Creative Director Nicolas Ghesquière's Pre-Fall 2024 show will take place at the Long Museum West Bund, a museum known for both its vast art collection as well as its own architectural intrigue.

The show is also meant to celebrate LV's longstanding relationship with China, more than 30 years after the debut of its first storefront opened at the Peninsula Hotel in Beijing in 1992.
