Gentle Monster's Maximalist Jewelry Glasses Are Better Than Ever

The Korean eyewear brand kicked off 2025 with an eyewear collection that's every maximalist's dream.

When it comes to eyewear, there are few brands as cool as Gentle Monster. The Korean eyewear label seems to get better with each of its drops, and this holds true for the latest collection, which kicked off 2025, dubbed "Jewelry." The pearlcore trend may be years old at this point, but Gentle Monster's latest pieces make a strong case for its comeback.

As the name hints, the new glasses bring bijoux to the eye area. Each new piece in the Jewelry Collection has some gemstone detail, whether that's the crystal-covered hinges on the Glitz opticals or the blue-tinted and '90s reminiscent Kiiras. Some of the drop's most quickly sold out pairs are decked out in pearls, like the Bijou De 02, while diamond-esque stones demurely dot the arms of others. Prices in the 2025 Jewelry Collection range from $360 for geometric sunnies and go up to $530 for the most intricately decorated fashion frames.

The campaign stars 18-year-old Japanese actor Nakajima Sena across a video and series of imagery featuring an item that shoppers have been particularly interested in: the Gentle Monster Jewelry Wand. To match the collection's twinkly eyewear, the brand debuted a weighty, silver-hued rod decked out in gems and pearls (that looks fit for Glinda in Wicked). However, the piece isn't available to purchase on the retailer's website yet.

In an era where maximalism and personalization reigns supreme in fashion, Gentle Monster's distinct take on eyewear is perfectly poised to appeal to the bold sartorial enthusiast. Its previous dropslike the candy-inspired Jelly Collection and collaboration with Mugler, for example—have only cemented this legacy. The brand's new Jewelry glasses, ornate and simple alike, add an air of coolness to any look, whether it's a grunge-inspired fit or something for the office.

Many pairs have sold out from the Jewelry Collection. (The best chance to snag a sold-out one is on a resale website.) Many are still in stock like the oval-framed Briolettes with gems overlaying the eyebrows, which retail for $530, or the classic black Ruvy Van sunnies priced at $360. How to shop the items? See which intricately crystal- and pearl-covered glasses from the 2025 drop are still available to purchase at the retailer's website.
