Jeff Goldblum is a well-seasoned film star and professional musician who has graced the screens in some of the most iconic films to date, including Jurassic Park (1993), Independence Day (1996), and The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014). Born to Jewish parents in the early 1950s in West Homestead, Pennsylvania, Goldblum naturally became interested in acting at a young age. At only 17 years old, Goldblum moved to New York City to pursue acting where he studied at the famed Neighborhood Playhouse under the guidance of Sanford Meisner. Shortly thereafter, Goldblum made his Broadway debut in the musical Two Gentlemen of Verona. Within a few short years, Goldblum bolstered his acting resume with a number of strong supporting roles, including parts in Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978), The Big Chill (1983), and Wes Anderson flicks The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou (2004) and The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014).
However, his roles in the Jurassic Park and the Jurassic World franchises are some of his most notable, reaching a cult-level notoriety among cinephiles. In addition to Goldblum’s long and varied acting career, the creative is also an accomplished jazz musician in the band Jeff Goldblum & The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra. He's also become a men's fashion icon admired for his flamoyant style and flair for patterned shirts
