Before Timothée Chalamet and Harry Styles reigned as today's beloved heartthrobs, young Leonardo DiCaprio had his own picture plastering bedroom walls around the world. Growing up in Los Angeles, DiCaprio appeared as an extra in various films and TV shows before his major break. In 1991, he received his first major role in Growing Pains as Luke, a young teen taken in by the central family. Throughout the rest of the '90s, DiCaprio garnered critical acclaim for his performances in The Basketball Diaries, Romeo and Juliet, and Titanic, among others. Since then, the Academy Award winner has made a name for himself as one of the leading actors in Hollywood.
Outside of his career, DiCaprio is known for being an avid environmentalist, spearheading projects around the world to support animal welfare, energy conservation, and climate change relief efforts.
