Who is Sophia Piccirilli, Anwar Hadid's New Girlfriend?

Anwar Hadid (younger brother of Gigi and Bella Hadid) is officially done with his single era, or at least, that's how it appears to be. On Thursday, Hadid was photographed holding hands with model Sophia Piccirilli while taking a stroll in New York City. Though this is only their first sighting together, and neither publicly declared their relationship, the spotting immediately sparked speculation that the two are now an item.

Of course, many are now asking who this new mystery girl is. Piccirilli is an emerging fashion model managed by Ford Models. Per her Instagram, she has yet to front a major fashion campaign but has the inclination to model for editorial fashion photography. Piccirilli is also an entrepreneur, as she runs her own sustainable clothing line, Picci Label. 

According to an anonymous source that spoke to Page Six, the couple has been dating for several months, where Piccirilli joined the Hadids in celebrating her boyfriend's birthday at their Pennsylvania home. 

This is presumably Hadid's first relationship following his split from pop star Dua Lipa. The two began dating in 2019 before breaking up in 2021. Since their break up, Lipa has now officially moved on with Romain Gavras, in which they made their red carpet debut at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival.

Many worried about how Hadid was handling the news of Lipa with a new beau after Hadid posted a concerning cryptic Instagram story message, in which he wrote "Trying to not to find and kill him,” only two days after Lipa and Gavras' Cannes debut. A day later he followed up with "Crazy how the internet will just make whole articles about sh*t they don’t know about!!," in defense of the backlash he received.

Now with both Lipa and Hadid off the market, the former couple can move forward in their own respective relationships.
