In a festive collaboration meant to inspire female empowerment, Saks Fifth Avenue teams up with former First Lady and founder of the Girls Opportunity Alliance Michelle Obama to unveil its annual display of holiday windows in New York City.

Available to watch on Saks Live tonight, November 23, at 7 p.m. Eastern Time, the celebration not only kicks off the holiday season in spirit but supports women in leadership all over the country.

Granting the Obama Foundation's Girls Opportunity Alliance with a $1 million dollar donation and providing three young women from within the program the opportunity to shadow Saks professionals, the partnership is the only one of its kind.

“In the spirit of holiday giving, Saks is making a generous donation that will help so many adolescent girls all over the world,” Obama said. “This contribution to the Girls Opportunity Alliance will help these girls to reach their full potential—and that’s especially important as the pandemic continues to threaten their education, which would set us all back in the years and decades ahead. I’m excited to see the impact of this wonderful gift from Saks and how it can help support the work of the Girls Opportunity Alliance around the world.”

In addition to the festive window unveiling, an online campaign provides customers with exclusive content throughout the entirety of the holiday season, the collaboration also includes a merchandise collection featuring products from all Saks departments. From women’s ready-to-wear to home goods and makeup products, the collection features designers like Jason Wu, Oscar de la Renta, and Christopher John Rodgers.

In further support of the Girls Opportunity Alliance, all profits made both online and in-stores at Saks Fifth locations in New York, Chicago, Beverly Hills, and Chevy Chase will be granted to The Obama Foundation.
