While monarchy may be a distant concept to many, particularly in the United States, fascination with royal life remains strong—whether it’s watching grand coronations, following regal romances, or anticipating the next heir to the throne. From the British royal family to European and Middle Eastern monarchies, every birth within these dynasties sparks worldwide interest, adding new faces to centuries-old legacies.  

Though 2025 has only just begun, several royal families have already welcomed new additions to their bloodlines, marking the arrival of future princes, princesses, and heirs. These newborns, born into a life of privilege and duty, will one day shape the future of their respective dynasties. British Royal Family 

 

Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi welcomed their second child, Athena Elizabeth Rose Mapelli Mozzi, on January 22, 2025, at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London. Buckingham Palace announced the news a week later, confirming her safe arrival.  

Now eleventh in line to the throne, Athena joins her older sister, Sienna. Edo celebrated the moment on Instagram, writing, “She is tiny and absolutely perfect. We are all (including Wolfie and Sienna) already completely besotted with her.”

Jordanian Royal Family

 

Princess Iman of Jordan and her husband, Jameel Alexander Thermiotis, welcomed their first child, a daughter named Amina, on February 16, 2025, at Prince Hashem bin Abdullah II Hospital in Aqaba. She is the second grandchild of Queen Rania and King Abdullah II.  

Queen Rania shared photos on Instagram, celebrating Amina as the family’s “newest blessing,” while King Abdullah expressed his joy on X, thanking God and sending his love to the new parents.

Swedish Royal Family

Sweden’s royal family grew this year with the arrival of Princess Ines Marie Lilian Silvia, Princess Sofia and Prince Carl Philip’s first daughter, born on February 7, 2025, at Danderyd Hospital in Stockholm. Now eighth in line to the throne, she joins her three older brothers, Alexander, Gabriel, and Julian.  

Prince Carl Philip shared his joy, saying, “We are happy to welcome our newborn daughter. The big brothers are excited to get to know their new little sister.”

Belgian Royal Family

Princess Maria Laura of Belgium and her husband, William Isvy, quietly welcomed their first child, a son named Albert, on January 26, 2025, in Brussels. The couple kept the pregnancy under wraps, making the announcement a surprise to many.  

The Belgian Royal Palace shared the news on X, confirming both mother and baby are doing well. Albert’s arrival adds another young royal to Belgium’s growing family.
