The socialite speaks openly on the reality of parenting, calling it the "most challenging" yet highly "rewarding" life endeavor.

<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/kim-kardashian-met-gala-2023-arrival-fashion-celebrity-style" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Kim Kardashian</a> has many titles she bears: Socialite, entrepreneur, influencer, fashion icon, and the list goes on. But it's her role as a mother that's the most rewarding, and most challenging &mdash; a sentiment she expressed per a podcast interview with <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3I482TBLEzc" target="_blank" rel="noopener">On Purpose with Jay Shetty</a> <a href="https://people.com/parents/kim-kardashian-reflects-on-parenting-challenges-exclusive/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">shared with People magazine</a>. In the interview, Kardashian speaks candidly on life as a single mother and raising her four kids (<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/kim-kardashian-north-west-best-twinning-fashion-style-moments-painting" target="_blank" rel="noopener">North</a>, 9, Saint, 7, Chicago, 5, and Psalm, 4) with ex, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/kanye-west-fashion-design-evolution-yeezy" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Kayne West</a>.
"Parenting is the thing that has taught me the most about myself," she said. "It has been the most challenging thing. There are nights I cry myself to sleep. Like, holy sh*t, this f***ing tornado in my house. Like, what just happened?"
"You know, with all the moods and the personalities and sometimes they're fighting, and you know, there's no one there," <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/kim-kardashian-spice-girls-posh-spice-copy" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Kardashian</a> continued. "Like, it's [just] me to play good police officer and bad cop."

She emphasized that though parenting is chaotic and "really f***ing hard," it's the most rewarding experience.&nbsp;
"It is the most rewarding job in the entire world. It is," she said. "There is nothing that can prepare you. I don't care how long you wait. I don't care what you're waiting for. You are never prepared. But, you will figure it out, and it will make you so proud of yourself that you figured it out and that you got through the day."
In 2021, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/kim-kardashian-kanye-west-getting-divorced-lawyers-settlement" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Kardashian and West announced their divorce</a> after seven years of marriage with the divorce finalized the following year. The <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/kim-kardashian-announces-second-fendi-x-skims-drop-how-to-shop" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Skims</a> founder opened up about co-parenting with West and protecting her children from the negative headlines West has continuously made of late.&nbsp;
&ldquo;I had the best dad, and I had the best memories and the greatest experience and that&rsquo;s all I want for my kids as long as they can have that,&rdquo; Kardashian said. "That&rsquo;s what I would want for them. If they don&rsquo;t know the things that are being said or what&rsquo;s happening in the world, why would I ever bring that energy to them? That&rsquo;s really heavy grown-up sh*t that they&rsquo;re not ready to deal with."&nbsp;

Since her divorce from West, Kardashian was romantically linked to actor and comedian <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/pete-davidson-dating-history-kim-kardashian-ariana-grande" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Pete Davidson</a>, in which the couple dated for a little less than a year. The pair hard-launched their relationship in 2021, attending numerous events together and posting each other on Instagram. They even walked the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/best-celebrity-red-carpet-fashion-style-2022-florence-pugh-timothee-chalamet" target="_blank" rel="noopener">2022 Met Gala red carpet</a> together, where Kardashian infamously wore <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/marilyn-monroe-most-iconic-roles" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Marilyn Monroe</a>'s "Happy Birthday Mr. President" dress. Following their breakup in late 2022 &mdash; <a href="https://people.com/tv/kim-kardashian-pete-davidson-relationship-ran-its-course-sources/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">that Kardashian called</a> "amicable" and a "mutual decision" &mdash; the A-lister has remained single.
With four kids, a thriving business, and a reality TV show, Kardashian has plenty to keep her busy. "There's just nothing that can prepare you for this experience," she said in regards to being a mother. "It is the most challenging, rewarding job on this planet."
