In her latest British Vogue interview, Billie Eilish opens up like never before—this time answering questions from her peers in the music industry. The intimate Q&A format brought out both lighthearted and emotional moments, offering fans a deeper look at the artist who's been so beloved since she was just sixteen.

Pop star Sabrina Carpenter kicked off the fun with a quirky question about Eilish’s go-to gas station order—spearmint gum, in case you were wondering. Chappell Roan chimed in to ask why Billie no longer rocks long nails, to which the singer admitted she needs to be able to play her instruments, and long nails make that quite impossible to do.

But the most poignant moment unexpectedly came from iconic rapper Nicki Minaj, who asked if Eilish had ever wished she could be unseen—if her appearance ever felt like it overshadowed her artistry. Minaj noted that Eilish sometimes appears “uncomfortable with her own beauty.”

Eilish’s emotional response struck a chord: “I’ve never really felt very beautiful or seen myself in that way, so I definitely never struggled with the idea that it would overshadow anything, since I didn’t even really see it myself. I’ve had to really convince myself that I am beautiful. Being a woman is hard.”

The Billie Eilish interview reminds readers that behind her vocals lies a young woman still navigating the complexities of self-image and stardom. A longtime advocate for women’s rights and mental health awareness, Eilish continues to lead with this kind of honesty—not just for her fans, but for herself.
