Kim Kardashian Hires New Security to Deal with Kanye West

Since Kim Kardashian and Kanye West—now officially known as Ye—announced their divorce, a lot has changed. The businesswoman is exploring a relationship with Pete Davidson, while the rapper steps out publicly with Julia Fox. Still, the drama within the Kardashian-West family abounds and Kardashian recently hired a new security team to help her deal with her ex-husband.

In December, the Daily Mail released images of the rapper's newly purchased $4.5 million mansion, right next door to Kardashian's home. Since then, the rapper has made several controversial statements, claiming that his ex-wife has prevented him from being close to his children.

One recent controversy surrounded their daughter Chicago's 4th birthday party. Ye claimed on social media that he was not invited, explaining, "Ya’ll, I’m just wishing my daughter a public happy birthday. I wasn’t allowed to know where her party was."

Us Weekly sources, meanwhile, revealed that Kardashian was surprised by the statement. “There were always two parties planned for Chicago, which was Kanye's idea. He was scheduled to celebrate with her at 4pm today,” he explained. "Kim was shocked to learn that he released a video about not being invited to her party - that's not true and as soon as he asked to come, he was given the venue."

Another of the statements focused on access to Kardashian's house. “Earlier this week, Monday, when I went to go pick my kids up from school, the security stopped me at the gate,” Ye revealed in an interview with the Hollywood Unlocked podcast released by Entertainment Tonight. "So at that point, security was in between me and my children and that's what was not going to happen."

Now, Kim had to take action for this situation. "Kanye has never had free access to the house since they split up. It was always very clear and verbally agreed," a source explained to The Sun. "He can't just walk in there. He gave the house to her and she paid him money for it. No one has the right to go in. He is now choosing to make this a public battle - and again involve the children."

“She hired a new security team – so there was no one with any previous connections to Kanye,” the source revealed to The Sun. “She doesn't want to get into any battles with him, but she's had enough. She is very worried and feels attacked.”
