It seems as though it was just yesterday that the Skims founder supported her husband, rapper Kanye West, in his bid for the 2020 Presidential election. But now, Kardashian is back in the dating pool.
From dinners in Staten Island to rides at theme park dates in California, we've created a complete timeline of Kardashian and Davidson's unexpected romance.
February 2021: Kardashian files for divorce
After six years of marriage, news errupted that the reality star filed for divorce from her husband Kanye West. Since then West has been spotted with several women on numerous occasions including Irina Shaynk and 22-year-old model Vinetria.
October 9: Kardashian hosts Saturday Night Live, kissing Davidson in a skit
Kardashian made headlines all over the world for her successful hosting gig at Saturday Night Live. During her opening monologue, Kardashian poked fun at her divorce with West, and later shared a kiss with Davidson in a parody skit of Aladdin where they both play Jasmine and Aladdin.
October 29: Knotts Berry Farm date
Just a few weeks after Kardashian's appearance on SNL, her and Davidson were spotted holding hands on a roller coaster ride at Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park, California. Along with the pair were It-couple and the recently engaged Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian.
November 2: Dinner for two in Staten Island
Davidson reportedly set up a dinner date for him and Kardashian at one of his favorite restaurants in Staten Island. A source said that the reality star is "intrigued" by Davidson and that she is fond of the comedian.
November 4: Kanye wants Kimye back
Just a few days after Kardashian and Davidson's dinner date in Staten Island, the rapper made an appearance on the Drink Champs podcast, referring to Kardashian as his wife and reiterated that the divorce has yet to be finalized. “SNL making my wife say ‘I divorced him’ on TV because they just wanted to get that bar off,” West said. “And I ain’t never even seen the papers, we’re not even divorced.”
November 17: The memorable Instagram post
Kardashian and Davidson sent shockwaves around the world in a soft launch Instagram post of the duo by Flavor Flav where the pair sported matching Skims pajamas.
November 19: Relationship confirmed
Kardashian and Davidson were once again spotted holding hands, with a source telling outlets that the unlikely pairing are officially together. “They are really happy and seeing where it goes,” the source said. “Pete has told her he doesn’t want to see anyone else.” The feelings are reportedly mutual for Kardashian, with the source saying, “She is telling some people they aren’t super serious but she isn’t seeing anyone else…. She’s trying to not make a big deal about it but is super into him…. Kim is smitten over him and it’s very exciting to her.”
November 23: Davidson walks around with a hickey
The comedian was spotted with what appeared to be a hickey on his neck. Fans speculate that the fling is more serious than we think.
November 27: Spotted on a date in LA
Kardashian and Davidson were having an intimate date at a Beverly Hills hotel when Los Angeles tourist, Paul Barewijk, snaps a selfie with the pair (individually). “All of the sudden I looked to my right and saw Pete Davidson,” Barewijk said. “I talked further with my mom and then I thought, ‘Who is he talking with?’ Because I know the latest dating rumors. And so, it was Kim Kardashian!” Barewijk also mentioned that “They looked happy, sat close to each other, and walked away together. It looked like a date to me.”
March 11: Instagram Official
After months of dancing around the dating rumors, the pair finally solidify their relationship in the most essential way possible: Instagram. Posted among a five photo carousel, Kardashian casually included two cheeky selfies with Davidson paired with a blasé caption that reads, "Whose car are we going to take?" lifted from the 2010 movie The Town.
April 8: Quasi Red Carpet Debut
Although there was no actual posing on the red carpet together, the duo did show up to the premiere of the Kardashians' new series on Hulu hand-in-hand. Almost more intimate than the traditional posed red carpet moment.
May 2: Met Gala 2022
If you didn't know they were together before, Kim and Pete's finale arrival on the 2022 Met Gala red carpet settled any debate about whether or not they were a real couple or not.
August 2022: It's Over.
After nine months of dating, the couple of the moment has called it quits. "They have a lot of love and respect for each other," a source told E! News, "but found that the long distance and their demanding schedules made it really difficult to maintain a relationship."
August 8: Kanye Shares His Input on the News
Amidst the news of the breakup, Kardashian's ex-husband Kanye West took to Instagram to share what he thought of the news–an image reflecting a New York Times newspaper with a headline that reads "Skete Davidson Dead At Age 28." In a much smaller font, the bottom of the post also pokes fun at rapper Kid Cudi who stormed off the Rolling Loud stage in Miami after having items thrown at him. The post was deleted after 24 hours.
