This morning, the Instagram world went into a frenzy due to a long-awaited newcomer to the platform, and we're talking a first post that seems likely to make the most-liked photos rankings. (Can you imagine? Many moons ago, when Instagram was first on the rise, most of us would have been lucky to successfully connect with our circles of close friends immediately upon joining.) Anyway, this obviously took someone major, and that was none other than Jennifer Aniston.

The second Jennifer to break the internet this fall, Aniston held off from joining Instagram for a really long time, but even she couldn't resist the social media platform-turned-cultural center forever. Her account has gained millions of followers in the hours since she posted her first photo, a selfie with her castmates from Friends (Courteney Cox, Matthew Perry, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer). The post, which has over 4 million likes and more than 208,000 comments as of the time of this story's publication, has a caption that will go down in history: "And now we’re Instagram FRIENDS too. HI INSTAGRAM πŸ‘‹πŸ»." Someone might have to tell her that Instagram has followers and not friends, but anything for the sake of a good pun, right?

Aniston's comments section is full of notes from celebs and fans alike, and they're all thrilled. "YASSSS!!! Welcome to Insta Jen!!! ❀️✨😍," said Reese Witherspoon. "All I can say is MUTE BUTTON," commented Whitney Cummings. Nice to have a friend looking out for you to prepare you for the onslaught of millions of notifications barraging your phone!

The actress has only posted one photo so far, and it's probably the biggest thing to happen on Instagram all day. We collected seven nostalgic throwback photos that Aniston should post next, including everything from her childhood photos to backstage Friends shots. Check them out below.

Aniston's fashion looks in the '90s and early aughts were to die for. Pairing some cutoff, distressed jean shorts with a simple grey tank and white button-up makes for an effortlessly chic outfit perfect for running a few errands. Posting this throwback in 2019 would definitely solidify Aniston as a Y2K fashion icon to her younger fans.

This adorably iconic photo of Cox, Kudrow, and Aniston would make a perfect addition to her feed. Perhaps the trio can bring back the slightly dated duck lips trend and make it chic again (but maybe without the lip liner).

This list wouldn't be complete without a photo of The Rachel, and neither would Aniston's feed. The seriously iconic haircut infiltrated the masses, sending women around the country to their stylists to ask for The Rachel. People still talk about it all the time today, proving its staying power as potentially the most iconic haircut of its time. Aniston couldn't possibly forget to honor her roots (literally) by posting this incredible throwback.

Isn't she just so cute? This photo takes it way back to the actress's early days in Sherman Oaks, CA, picturing a young Aniston posing in a flannel, shorts, and an incredible hairstyle that shows the mullet who's boss. Everyone loves a good childhood photo!

Aniston has always possessed an unmatched glow. That radiance is on display in this photo, which was taken in 1990 in Los Angeles when Aniston was about 20 years old. Around this time, she was entering the acting world, inching closer to taking it by storm in 1994 with Friends.

Who doesn't love a good candid? The cast of Friends took to the sky in a private jet, taking a cheeky film photo while on their flight. With the resurgence of film photography, especially on Instagram, posting this would set Aniston totally on-trend.

You can never get enough Y2K fashion shots, especially authentic ones. From the tiny sunglasses to the simple black-and-white outfit, Aniston's outfit perfectly embodies casual chic. Honestly, we would love to see her bring back this look in 2019. If not, posting it as a throwback would be just as iconic.
