Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston Will Both Attend the Golden Globes
The 2018 edition of Golden Globes, an award that celebrates the best film and television professionals in and outside the United States, takes place next Sunday, January 7. While we wait to see who will be the winners and the most beautiful dresses of the night, we already know who will be the presenters of the event.
In the list, which will feature Sarah Jessica Parker, Hellen Mirren, Emma Stone and Kit Harrington among some who will deliver the prize, it has been confirmed that we will also have the presence of Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie on stage.
Aniston and Jolie share the same ex — Brad Pitt — and are rarely seen in the same event, but this Golden Globes ceremony is set to be something special, with actresses coming together in support of women's rights.
Jolie was one of several women who last year revealed abuse by Hollywood executive Harvey Weinstein saying, "I had a bad experience with Harvey in my youth, and as a result, chose to never work with him again and to warn others when they did. This behavior toward women in any field, in any country is unacceptable,'" the 42-year-old actress told The New York Times.
Equally supportive of gender equality, Jennifer Aniston recently donated more than $1 million to the Time's Up GoFundMe campaign, which was born of the #MeToo movement, and will subsidize legal advocacy for those who have been sexually abused, harassed, or threatened in their workplaces.
In 2005, Brad Pitt took over his relationship with Jolie even before his divorce with Jennifer Aniston being finalized. At that time, she said in an interview that she was feeling confused and hurt by the end of the relationship and what happened, saying "I missed sensitivity, but it's not my life." After Angelina Jolie publicly revealed some details of how the relationship between the two began (they met while filming "Mr. and Mrs. Smith"), Aniston said: "What Angelina did was not cool. Aniston married actor and writer Justin Theroux and the Jolie-Pitt couple continued to have their 6 children adopted and biological until they separated recently.
