Grimes Reveals She and Elon Musk Secretly Welcomed Second Child

In a surprise that no one saw coming, Grimes recently announced the birth of her second child, a daughter named Exa Dark Sideræl. The singer kept the pregnancy and her rekindled relationship with billionaire Elon Musk a secret, but now, in a recent interview, she decided to reveal some details about how her life has changed course once again. Grimes and Musk are already parents to their son X Æ A-12, whose name caused quite a stir in 2020 when he was born.

In a chat with Vanity Fair magazine, Grimes said that she turned to a surrogate, a resource that has become a fever among celebrities in recent years, who delivered the baby in December 2021. Similar to their son who the couple refers to as X, they call their daughter Y in substitution for her rather unorthodox name.

Referring to her relationship with Musk, Grimes said, "there's no real word for it. I'd probably refer to him as my boyfriend, but we're very fluid. We live in separate houses. We're best friends. We see each other all the time. We just have our own stuff going on, and I don't expect other people to understand that."

In September 2021, Musk told Page Six that the couple had split, although they maintained a close relationship for the sake of their child. However, it seems renewed parenthood has brought the pair back together. In her conversation with Vanity Fair, Grimes also told the publication that the duo plan on having more children as well. "We've always wanted at least three or four."
