Grimes Shows Off Her New Tattooed "Alien Scars" on Instagram

We can easily add Grimes' new tattoo to the list of most absurd celebrity tattoos. She shared a picture of the "Alien scars," as the Canadian artist defined them, on Instagram. The abstract, white tattoos span her entire back.

"Back full of white ink from @tweakt with the help of the alien brain of @nusi_quero's computer . Two great teams united in the name of fun while respecting the environment," Grimes says in the caption of the post. "I don't have a good photo because it hurts too much and I need to sleep haha, and it will be red for a couple of weeks, but it will be nice alien scars."

After posting the photo on Instagram, Grimes' tattooed back got more than 300 thousand likes in 24 hours while the video on TikTok over 1 million views.

But what exactly are these "Alien Scars"? The body art is designed by Nusi Quero and tattooed by Tweak T, and the white pigment is what gives the design an other-worldly look. White ink tattoos are considered special because the pigment fades more quickly than traditional colors or black ink and are therefore more complex to apply.
