Although we don't have a definitive date for the beginning of their relationship, they initially crossed paths at the March 2021 premiere of Taylor-Joy's celebrated Netflix series <a href="https://preview.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/anya-taylor-joy-movies-the-queens-gambit-netflix" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Queen's Gambit</a>.
It's speculated that the two began dating shortly after this.&nbsp;

The pair's first not-so-soft-launch was on Instagram. Their journey began on McRae's Instagram in July 2021 with a photo of Taylor-Joy, accompanied by the caption "I'm besotted."

In October of the same year, he shared window selfies of them holding hands, captioning it with "Oof supremely happy."
Throughout the rest of their relationship, you'll see the two frequently share photos of each other on social media.&nbsp;

The pair made one of their first public appearances at the CAA Pre-Oscars party in March of 2022. From then on, the couple often arrived together arm in arm to attend red carpet events.&nbsp;

She elaborated, expressing that the intimate affair was centered around their bond, as they eloped with their closest friends to create a magical day. Taylor-Joy added, "It kind of made it all the more special, &lsquo;cause it just felt like a secret that we got to keep to ourselves."
Their romantic ceremony took place in a candlelit church, with Taylor-Joy stunning in a custom Dior gown adorned with floral motifs.&nbsp;
