Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox first met on the set of the indie thriller Midnight In The Switchgrass. However, just after two weeks of filming, the production set was forced to shut down due to the emerging COVID-19 pandemic. According to a source from E! News, the pair had been spending time together after their sudden production shut down and added, "the down time has been good for them...They are intrigued by each other and having a lot of fun."
May 15, 2020: Kelly and Fox were first spotted together.
Shortly after lockdown restrictions have been partially lifted, photos obtained by the Daily Mail showed that Fox and Kelly were seen together in Calabasas, sparking relationship rumors between the "My Ex's Best Friend" singer and Transformers actress, who was still married to Brian Austin Green at the time. Green then posted a cryptic message on Instagram with the caption, "Eventually butterflies get bored sitting on a flower for too long. They start feeling smothered. May 18, 2020: Fox's ex confirms separation.
Just three days after Kelly and Fox were spotted together, Green confirmed on his …With Brian Austin Green podcast that he and Fox have been separated since December of 2019. Green then commented on Kelly and Fox's relationship saying, "They’re friends at this point, and from what she’s expressed, he’s a really nice, genuine guy, and I trust her judgment."

Shortly after Green announces that he and Fox have been separated for a period of time, Kelly released the music video for "Bloody Valentine" where Fox starred as the singer's imperious lover.
June 15, 2020: PDA for the paparazzi.
Just a month after the pair were first spotted in Calabasas, Kelly and Fox were seen holding hands and kissing after a night out at Mr. Furley's Bar in Sherman Oaks, California. The singer read a tweet from a fan that said "Machine gun kelly I just wanna let you know am free this sunday to go on a date just let me know if ur free sunday cause I am free and would like to take you on a date." The singer then responded, "I'm locked in already right now. No dates for me. Probably ever."
August 25, 2020: Fox claps back.
A few weeks after the infamous tweet from Fox's ex sparked mixed reactions among fans, Fox spoke with Entertainment Tonight saying, "For whatever reason, people are very trigger happy to call me stupid or call me vain or call me a slut, which is crazy. I was in the same relationship for 15 years, you know?” Fox added, “It’s bizarre, this image that gets projected onto me that people have just accepted and that’s lived for over a decade and that I never really did anything to earn in the first place.”
August 30, 2020: A hopeful Green goes live on Instagram.
On an Instagram Live, Green was asked if he would reconcile with Fox and responded by saying, " I never say never." After the release of Kelly's latest album Tickets to My Downfall, the singer released the music video for his song "Drunk Face" professing his love for Fox. The music video features Fox once again and includes a scene where the couple shares a kiss for the camera.
October 13, 2020: Source confirms that Kelly has met Fox's kids.
A source close to the couple told People that Kelly had been introduced to Fox's three kids. According to the source, Kelly "recently met her kids for the first time. Megan thought it was a natural step, since they are getting more serious. They are in a committed relationship and it's not just a fling. They are planning a future together." Marriage rumors reemerged as a source close to Fox spoke to E! News that the couple "plan to get engaged and married" and that they are "very much in love and have a strong and intense relationship...Her divorce is moving along, and they are hashing out custody details."
With regards to Fox's divorce, another source told E! News in February that Green is attempting to prolong divorce proceedings. "Brian is definitely not making it easy or doing things quickly," the source said. Kelly announced that he was once again teaming with his girlfriend on their upcoming stoner comedy Good Mourning With a U, which the musician will be directing. Kelly along with longtime friend and rapper Mod Sun co-wrote and will produce the film. Fox shared a now-deleted photo on Instagram with the caption, "When I tell you that the table at this air bnb saw some things 🥵," implying that she and Kelly had a wild staycation at an Airbnb they recently rented. Kelly comments on the post saying, "i’m really glad that’s not our table anymore."
September 12, 2021: Megan and MGK's first VMAs appearance together.
Kelly and Fox made a red carpet appearance at the VMAs. In one of Fox's red carpet interviews, the actress shared details on her ensemble of the night chosen by Kelly himself. "He was like, 'You're gonna be naked tonight,'" Fox told Entertainment Tonight. "I was like, 'Whatever you say, daddy!'"
January 11, 2022: The couple are engaged!

Only a week after attending the 2023 Grammys together, it seems the couple may have broken up. Fox hinted at the possibility of Kelly's cheating on Instagram with the caption, "You can taste the dishonesty/ it's all over your breath," a reference to Beyoncé's 2016 song, "Pray You Catch Me."
