See Queen Elizabeth II's Christmas Decorations at Windsor Castle
Queen Elizabeth II took great care in the decorations for the end of the year parties
Christmas has arrived at Windsor Castle, the official residence of Queen Elizabeth II. The place has received a complete decoration for all end-of-the-year celebrations. The Royal Collection Trust, the body responsible for taking care of all the works and patrimony of the English Royal Family, has just released beautiful images of the final decor.
Several trees were strewn with red and gold ornaments in St. George's Hall, the same hallway where Meghan Markle and Prince Harry held their royal wedding reception in 2018, and also where they presented the birth of their first child, Archie, in 2019.
Best of all, Queen Elizabeth and her family are not the only ones who can enjoy and admire the decor. Windsor Castle is open for Christmas tours until January 3.
In addition, the venue is also displaying the costumes worn by the monarch and her sister, Princess Margaret, in a Christmas play they staged during World War II, more than 80 years ago. The pieces were made from 1941 to 1944 to raise money for the Royal Household Wool Fund, which provided knitting wool to make quilts for soldiers.
