Tyla Stuns in a Fringed Bra in Her New 'Push 2 Start' Video
South African singer Tyla released her Y2K-inspired "Push 2 Start" music video wearing a fringed bra. Its car wash scene is reminiscent of 2000s pop and R&B moments.
Tyla is on fire. The South African singer dropped a music video on Thursday night for her latest single, "Push 2 Start." In it, she stuns in a fringed bra, low-waisted jeans, and strappy sandals—an ensemble that all-around embodies that Y2K, it-girl vibe.
The video, directed by Aerin Moreno, feels reminiscent of '90s and early 2000s pop and R&B music videos. Some of the scenes in "Push 2 Start," like when Tyla gets sudsy in the car wash scene, feel like an ode to Rihanna's "Shut Up and Drive" music video from 2007. Across the set, styling, and choreography led by Lee-ché Janecke, Tyla makes her latest pop debut unresistably fun.
"Push 2 Start" is on the deluxe version of her self-titled album Tyla, along with two other bonus tracks. The Grammy-winning singer performed the song, first released in October, at the Victoria's Secret Runway Show (yes, the hotly debated show that served as the brand's catwalk comeback). It's been a busy year for Tyla, who also performed at the 2024 Paris Olympics Prelude and the Games. Her breakout song, "Water," landed her placements on the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard 200.
