Every Hint Taylor Swift's 'Is It Over Now' is About Harry Styles

Harry Styles thought he was safe, but he'll never go out of style.

After the highly anticipated release of 1989 (Taylor's Version), fans have not only had the album on repeat but are dissecting Taylor Swift's beloved vault tracks — songs that Swift wrote but didn't make it on the initial album. For 1989 (Taylor's Version), 5 vault tracks were released: "Slut!," "Say Don't Go," "Now That We Don't Talk," "Suburban," and "Is It Over Now."

Each one has Swifties frantic for their own respective reasons, but it's the latter vault track — "Is It Over Now" — that really has the Swiftie world talking. Fans are convinced that Styles, whom she dated right before the 1989 original 2014 release, is the subject of the beloved vault track.

First is the lyric, "With the wilt of the rose/I slept all one." While you could argue it's too ambiguous of a lyric to define what it means, Styles' has his signature rose tattoo on his elbow, which he got done in 2013 right before the release of 1989 a year later.

But it's the lyric, "When you lost control/Red blood, white snow," that really has Swifites convinced the vault track is definitely about Styles. In 2014, Swift revealed she was in an automobile accident with an ex, and while she never said who it was, Styles was photographed with a bandaged chin following a "ski injury."

"Your new girl is my clone," Swift sings, and with a look back at Styles' dating history, there were two women in 2014 and 2015 that he was romantically linked to that were blondes. The first of which was Erin Foster, who was believed to be dating after the two were spotted on an alleged date. 

However, a source at the time told E! News that it was "nothing serious" and they were "casually dating."

After Foster, Styles was then linked to model Nadine Leopold in 2015 after being photographed holding hands and out on a date. While their relationship was never confirmed, the two reportedly broke up within weeks.

Following that is the lyric, "At least I had the decency to keep my nights out of sight." If the song being about Styles is true — which it likely is — then this lyric can easily point to the amount of times Styles' was photographed at numerous nightclubs during his One Direction years.

Lastly, Swift sings, "If she got blue eyes, I will surmise that you'll probably date her" and "You search in every model's bed for somethin' greater baby." Styles is infamously known for dating borderline exclusively models, from Kendall Jenner to Kiko Mizuhara to Candice Swanepoel.

It was his relatively long relationship with actress and director Olivia Wilde that gave fans hope he is open to more types of women. Currently, he is dating actress Taylor Russell, best known for her role in the 2022 film Bones And All co-starring Timothée Chalamet, and her impeccable fashion sense.

While Swifties continue to break down all the newly revealed hints in 1989 (Taylor's Version), the remaining re-recorded albums Swift has yet to release are Reputation and Taylor Swift.
