Rock 'n' roll legend Stevie Nicks and pop sensation Miley Cyrus join forces for a new single that fuses the '80s glam of "Edge of Seventeen" with today's soft rock spirit.

Rock goddess <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop%20culture/stevie-nicks-tiktok-fleetwood-mac-dreams-challenge-viral">Stevie Nicks</a> collaborates with <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/music/miley-cyrus-slide-away-2019">Miley Cyrus</a> on a new song, <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7CoOLtQbmJI&amp;ab_channel=MileyCyrusVEVO">&ldquo;Edge of Midnight.&rdquo;</a> The track, a remix of Cyrus&rsquo; new single <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aS1no1myeTM">&ldquo;Midnight Sky,&rdquo;</a> blends the song together with Nicks&rsquo; 1981 song <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b5bgQjTmm3g">&ldquo;Edge of Seventeen&rdquo;</a> from her debut album Bella Donna. Their new duet, which opens with Nicks&#39;&nbsp;iconic guitar intro from her original single, brings together &#39;80s rock with today&#39;s pop.

Cyrus recently admitted on the <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OiSJA_Q5DgI&amp;feature=youtu.be&amp;t=691&amp;ab_channel=ZachSangShow">Zach Sang Show</a> that parts of &ldquo;Midnight Sky&rdquo; were in homage to Nicks&#39; work, someone she has idolized for many years. She said, &ldquo;So I actually reached out to her directly about&mdash;&#39;This song, it has your spirit, your magic.&#39; I actually wrote this whole kind of message about, &#39;You know, the kind of artist I want to be is the kind of artist that you&#39;ve been for me. I just hope that I can be that for other people.&#39;&quot;

Nicks&rsquo; response? She <a href="http://abcnewsradioonline.com/music-news/2020/10/6/stevie-nicks-says-she-could-not-be-more-flattered-that-miley.html">reportedly told Cyrus</a>&nbsp;that she &ldquo;could not be more flattered.&rdquo;

While the remix officially drops today, several fan-made mash-ups&nbsp;of the two songs, created by user <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fiuEWIf6dgk">kelexandra</a>, were gaining traction on Youtube, possibly inspiring the two singers to assuage their fans with a streamable version.

The rest of Cyrus&rsquo; new album,&nbsp;<a href="https://pitchfork.com/news/miley-cyrus-announces-new-album-plastic-hearts/">Plastic Hearts</a>,&nbsp;releases November 27.
