Mel C Calls Out Victoria Beckham on Reality Show
Mel C threw some major shade at her fellow Spice Girl member's singer abilities.
There seem to be unresolved issues between the Spice Girls members. The girl band conquered not only England but the whole world in the late '90s with their pop songs. The group comprised of members Melanie Brown (Scary Spice), Melanie Chisholm (Sporty Spice), Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice), Emma Bunton (Baby Spice), and Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice) remains a large part of British music history to this day. However, their friendships with each other might be a different story.
Mel C gave Beckham a huge sting while she was guesting judging on Drag Race: UK Versus the World.
As she critiqued contestant Baga Chipz's performance, the singer said, "Baga, I think you completely embody the humor of British drag and I love that. You are giving me lots of Spice Girl inspiration tonight. You lip-synced badly, but when you were performing, I was like, there’s a resemblance. Posh Spice! But you know what? Your vocals are much better!”
The barb follows the group's 2019 reunion tour, which was met with considerable fan support despite Beckham's absence. While most of the members were excited to reunite, Beckham passed, explaining that fashion and her clothing brand were her priority now. Of course, this caused a considerable amount of uproar with both the fans and, apparently, the rest of the band.
While many believed the rumored feud between Posh and the other Spice Girls was squashed after they appeared in Beckham's 2021 Pride campaign for her brand, obviously there are still some fences to be mended.
