Dua Lipa Just Took Inspiration from Kate Middleton
Over the years, several royals have proven themselves to be great fashionistas and have thus become inspirations of style. No doubt one of them is Kate Middleton, who brings a chic approach to classic and elegant looks. On the other side of the spectrum, Dua Lipa is a pop star for Gen Z, bringing a cool and modern aesthetic by playing with fun pieces and trends. But what about when one is inspired by the other? Such was the case when the "Don't Start Now" singer incorporated an aesthetic very similar to the Duchess of Cambridge but with a twist.
Combining the classic with the modern, Dua bet on a Marc Jacobs burgundy print dress with a silhouette very similar to ones previously modeled by Middleton. But one detail in particular drew attention: the oversized collar, one of Kate's favorite trends.
Just as Middleton bets on a more traditional aesthetic, which incorporates the atmosphere of British royalty, Dua Lipa is an expert in giving an urban touch to his productions.
In harmony with the dress, the singer chose a printed handbag from Mowalola, Dr Martens boots, and a velvet scrunchie.
