Pharrell Williams and Tyler, the Creator Embark on a Collaboration for Louis Vuitton
The highly anticipated Men's Spring 2024 capsule collection, marking a collaboration between Pharrell Williams and Tyler, the Creator, will be released in just a month.
Announced for release on March 21 in stores, the exclusive capsule collection for Louis Vuitton reaffirms Pharrell Williams's taste for all things well-made and alternative. The Men's Creative Director's collaboration with Tyler, the Creator seems to promise artisanal excellence and unbridled creativity, as the two have been longtime industry friends and colleagues.
“Tyler has been my close friend and collaborator for years and we’ve always connected on music and design, " said Williams in a press release. "This collaboration is unique to Louis Vuitton because it’s a natural extension of our LVERS philosophy, building on our network of incredible artists and creatives."
Tyler, the Creator, a Friend of the House, will help design an independent ready-to-wear line, thus linking the two creative universes of the fashion house and the artist. The collection will meld Tyler, the Creator’s iconography with Louis Vuitton’s, making the emblem of the collection a Craggy Monogram, hand-drawn by the artist himself.
“My main focus was making things I would wear all the time. I dress the same in a meeting as I do a performance or grocery store trip, so hand drawing the monogram felt like the perfect balance to me. The chessboard is one of the greatest things I've made and is definitely my favorite thing from the collection," said Tyler, the Creator in a press release.
With playful and innovative silhouettes and designs including the chocolate down jacket and the reimagined LV Dandy loafer, the collection may just capture the hearts of both fashion and music fans.
