The notion that perfume was just important to help you smell better is quickly going out of date. Over the weekend, Hugo Boss launched Essentials by BOSS Bottled, an international podcast that aims to provide men with advice on how to be the best versions of themselves.

Gunnar Peterson, functional training expert and personal trainer, is partnering with Nouvelles Écoutes to produce the podcast. The conversations with notable guests will focus on topics that relate to nutrition, mindful thinking, and exercise. In 2016, the idea for the podcast was born out of discussions about what it means to be a man. The brand wants to reach the widest audience and forge genuine connections through meaningful conversations with guests, and upcoming figures set to appear include Andy Puddicombe, co-founder of the meditation app Headspace, and Max Lugavere, a brain activist and nutrition journalist. Rich Roll, an athlete and plant-based wellness advocate, will also be a guest, an exciting move since on his own podcast he has amassed over 50 million downloads.

The release date of the podcast is significant as well, as it is also the release date of the new BOSS Bottled Infinite fragrance. If the podcast aims to create an intimacy among conversations, the fragrance will draw whoever has the pleasure of smelling near. The bottle is modern and sleek, designed in a deep blue shade to represent the scent's refreshing nature. Upon spritzing, notes of mandarin and apple complement hints of cinnamon and sage to refresh the senses. Infinite is also the first fragrance Boss created using their diamond technology, a practice that makes notes adhere to the skin for a longer wear.

The fragrance and podcast, which will be available on Apple, Soundcloud, Spotify, Google podcast, Deezer, both launch on March 30.
