After four years as a creative director for the brand’s womenswear and haute couture, Galliano will now be designing menswear for the French brand, as well. Maison Margiela’s Fall 2018 menswear collection will be held this Friday, January 19, in the Salle Turenne of the Musée de l’Armée in Paris. Not only is this Galliano’s debut for the brand's menswear, it's Margiela's first menswear show since 2016, which had been previously done by the atelier. “Rather than curating the past, we have chosen to look at the future and John Galliano's vision represents a forward-thinking view on the maison and its DNA," said Riccardo Bellini, CEO of Maison Margiela, to Women's Wear Daily. "Our ambition is to accelerate growth across the entire maison and across all collections by putting John Galliano’s new creative vision at the core of everything we do."

Margiela’s show will be one of two shows not to miss on Friday—Vetements will have its first co-ed show during Men’s Fashion Week.
