Penn Badgley's Joe is a Daddy in Season 3 of 'You'

What is it about bad boys that feels so good? And can we technically call a serial killer a bad boy? That might go beyond the parameters. Regardless, Penn Badgley is set to return as the troubled leading man, Joe Goldberg, in Season 3 of Netflix's You. 

Last we saw him, the bookstore clerk turned killer was with his second season love interest, Love Quinn, played by Victoria Pedretti. The two were living in Los Angeles and just coming to terms with Love's pregnancy. Fans enjoyed seeing the two's lethal and whirlwind romance, one that is sure to be complicated by the addition of a small child.

In Season 3, the couple has married and moved to suburbia. In their case, that means Northern California's Madre Linda. As Joe embraces life as a father and husband, he is worried about the darker impulses of his partner, and his ability to raise a child. 

"Let's just say, I'm hoping you'll do as I say, not as I do," he tells his unborn child in the teaser. Joe promises he can change for the baby but, we're not so sure. It remains to be seen in the upcoming season whether this tumultuous couple has what it takes to tackle parenthood. 

Michaela McManus and Saffron Burrows, who appeared in Season 2, will be returning. Shalita Grant, Travis Van Winkle, Tati Gabrielle, Dylan Arnold, and Scott Speedman will all be joining the cast in the upcoming episodes. 

Season 3 of "You" premieres October 15.
