Season four of Only Murders promises to be just as full of celebrity guest stars as past seasons, and the plot is expected to be equally high stakes. This season sees the podcasting trio of Charles, Oliver and Mabel (played by Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez) embarking on a trip to Los Angeles from New York. With Hollywood planning to turn their true crime podcast into a feature film, the three friends have to balance a murder investigation alongside a film production about their lives.
At the end of season three, fans were left on a cliffhanger with the death of Charles' stunt double, Sazz (Jane Lynch) after she was shot through a window. This left the question of whether or not the murderer was actually trying to kill Charles, so fans have been eagerly anticipating season four in hopes of solving yet another risky mystery.
Some of the minor roles that celebrities have played in past seasons will return in season four. The trailer revealved that Meryl Streep, Jane Lynch and others will be reprising their roles on the star-studded show.

The Canadian actor and comedian known for his starring role in the TV show Schitt's Creek is set to play himself in this season of Only Murders. Levy will be one of the actors who is cast to star in the podcast's film adaptation, so he is playing himself as he studies Charles, Steve Martin's character.
Melissa McCarthy
Melissa McCarthy will play Charles' sister in Long Island this season. McCarthy's acting career has seen her work across genre, from Gilmore Girls to The Little Mermaid and Bridesmaids. Her spot in Only Murders is the perfect fit for the versatile actress.
