Every Celebrity Guest Star on Hulu's 'Only Murders in the Building'
As we approach the release of Season 4, take a look at all of the Hollywood favorites who have made a cameo in the hit mystery-comedy series, and who's to come.
With numerous Emmy nominations, Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building is boisterous, unpredictable, and incredibly funny. Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez star as three strangers living in the same building in Manhattan who share an obsession with true-crime podcasts. The murder of a neighbor prompts them to start their own podcast, and soon enough their lives take multiple twists and turns as they become immersed in the investigation itself. All three actors are dynamically humorous yet also possess individually distinct storytelling abilities, making the work they create together very entertaining.
However, other than the three lead protagonists, the series is also acclaimed for its star-studded casting of recurring characters and guest stars. In the first three seasons, A-List Hollywood stars including Tina Fey, Jane Lynch, Paul Rudd, and Meryl Streep were cast, some playing a character and others as themselves. As Season 4 approaches, new cast members—played by Eugene Levy, Eva Longoria, and Molly Shannon—are joining the protagonists as they investigate the case.
Surprisingly, this season the cast will not be returning directly to the Big Apple. The beginning of Season 4 is currently being filmed in Los Angeles, where Gomez shared a post to Instagram showing a card from her co-stars—"We’re so happy to be back with you, love, Steve and Marty", it read.
While Season 4 currently doesn't have an exact release date, we're hoping it'll be available to stream this summer on Hulu—considering other seasons were released around the same time. With much excitement surrounding what's to come from the multi award-winning show, L'OFFICIEL rounds up all the celebrity guest appearances in Only Murders in the Building.

Appearing solely in Season 2, Rapaport plays a detective who investigates the murder. Rapaport began his career as an actor and comedian in the early 1990s and has since made over 100 appearances in film and television. Mandy Gonzalez
Best known for her leading roles on Broadway, which include originating the role of Nina Rosario in the musical In the Heights as well as Elphaba in Wicked, Mandy Gonzalez plays Mabel's mother. Paul Rudd
Ant-Man and Clueless star Paul Rudd makes a special appearance in the finale of Season 2, then throughout the next season as the murder victim. But unlike previous seasons, he's actually not murdered in the building. If you haven't watched Season 3 yet, prepare yourself for a rollercoaster of emotions with this cast—and, of course, prepare for what Season 4 has to bring.
Meryl Streep
Known as the best actress of her generation and holder of an extensive list of awards, Meryl Streep joined the show for season 3 as Loretta Durkin, a quirky actor that stars in Oliver's play. Her character brings much suspense to the season's plot, not to mention her most iconic roles in films like Little Women, Mamma Mia, and of course The Devil Wears Prada.
