Netflix Renews 'Sex Education' for Season 4
Fans will get to follow their favorites characters as they face another year of sexual mishaps.
Netflix recently announced a renewal for their hit teen comedy series Sex Education just over a week after the third season dropped on September 17. The streaming platform announced the renewal during its Tudum event (named after the infamous sound effect), a global fan event on September 25, which provided fans with exclusive first looks at upcoming shows and movies.
The popular series has millions of devoted fans, but news for a renewal remained rocky. The cast and crew of Sex Education, including the show's creator Laurie Nunn and lead actor Asa Butterfield, said the show's renewal depended on the fans' reactions to season 3 as well as Netflix themselves.
The end of Season 3 sets up Season 4 with numerous possibilities, as the finale provided a twist that Moordale would be closing, and all the students have to find new schools and redo their last semester in order to graduate on time. Our beloved gang is forced to split up, with Maeve studying abroad in America and leaving her newfound relationship with Otis open-ended, leaving the fate of their romance uncertain. With endless possibilities for this group of students, Season 4 is sure to be a hit.
