Margot Robbie Is Unrecognizable in Her New Movie Role
One of the most admired women in the world (and new Chanel Ambassador) Margot Robbie has much to celebrate in 2018. In addition to receiving a Best Actress Oscar nomination for her role in the long-running I, Tonya, the Australian has just filmed a new project that promises to be a success: Mary Queen of Scots.
Margot is unrecognizable as the infamous Queen Elizabeth I of England, with red curly hair matching the fire in her eye. The narrative tells the powerful story of Mary, Queen of Scotland (played by Saoirse Ronan), returning to England in an attempt to reclaim the throne and replace Queen Elizabeth I (who was also her cousin) as monarchical ruler of both lands. A momentous event in history, two extraordinary women fight for a position that was at the epicenter of world politics at that time - a time when feminism was not even a thought. The story is also recounted with an astonishing series of fashion productions from the sixteenth century when special attention was paid to dramatic necklines, silhouettes and elaborate textiles. Mary Queen of Scots will be in theatres in December 2018.
