HBO's 'Succession' to Return in October
Fans have waited almost two years for Season 3 of the award-winning show.
After two years of waiting, HBO has rewarded fans with a teaser for Succession Season 3. The family dramedy chronicles the lives of the impossibly wealthy Roy family—think Rupert Murdoch's news empire mixed with the Disney dynasty—as the cantankerous patriarch's ailing health implores his children to begin battling for the keys to the proverbial throne.
On Twitter, the show shared a photo of Logan Roy played by actor Brian Cox with the caption, "October." While the tidbit leaves audiences with more answers than questions, it does give them a timeline to look forward to finding out the fate of their favorite—or the least unlikeable—characters.
In July, fans were treated to a trailer for the third season which, as expected, will focus on the fallout following Logan's son Kendall (Jeremy Strong) going public about the misdeeds of his father and his father's company. As the trailer suggests, the remaining family members will be forced to take sides.
New additions to the cast include Love & Basketball actress Sanaa Latham in a recurring role as Lisa Arthur, a "well-connected" New York City lawyer. Linda Emond and Korean actress Jihae will play White House aide Michelle-Anne Vanderhoven and PR consultant Berry Schneider, respectively. Alexander Skarsgård and Adrien Brody are slated to appear in undisclosed roles.
