Harry Styles Spotted on Set of 'My Policeman'
The singer stars in the film alongside The Crown's Emma Corrin and Peaky Blinders' David Dawson.
Just months after snagging his first Grammy win for Best Pop Solo Performance, Harry Styles further pivots to his growing acting career as he is spotted on set for his new film My Policeman. In February, it was announced that the singer and The Crown actress Emma Corrin would star as Tom and Marion, a married couple in 1960s England. The following month, Peaky Blinders star David Dawson was cast as Patrick, Tom's secret lover. While fans have been eagerly awaiting a first look at the film, new shots from the set showcase all three leads in their respective roles.
One photo catches Styles and Corrin kissing while walking down the street, while another shows the "Watermelon Sugar" singer in a vintage police officer uniform as he speaks with Dawson.
The film is based on Bethan Roberts' novel of the same name which is set in the 1990s when an elderly Patrick comes to stay with Marion and Tom, calling to mind flashbacks of his and Tom's secret affair at a time when homosexuality was still against the law in the UK. Styles, Corrin, and Dawson play the younger versions of these characters, while Linus Roache, Gina McKee, and Rupert Everett have been cast as their respective elder counterparts.
Earlier this month, new reports emerged that the film will feature more than one explicit gay sex scene between the two male leads. "Harry will be having sex on-screen and they want it to look as real as possible," a source told The Sun, before adding, "The plan is to shoot two romps between Harry and David, then another scene where Harry is naked on his own."
It seems like fans will be seeing more of Styles than ever before. The insider also mentioned, "Harry is throwing himself into this new role and is really excited about the challenge, even though it’s a daunting task. He always wants to do things that people wouldn’t expect and challenge what people think about him — and this film will really do that."
