Harry Styles Shows Off His Acting Chops in the Official 'My Policeman' Trailer
At long last, Harry Styles and Emma Corrin's new film My Policeman finally has a premiere date and a trailer.
British stars Harry Styles and Emma Corrin are teaming up to star in the new Amazon Studios movie My Policeman. While the L'OFFICIEL Hommes cover star is known for his musical success, his transition to acting has long been in the works. Following the success of his 2017 war drama Dunkirk and the buzz surrounding his upcoming project Don't Worry Darling, the Gucci star recently made an appearance in Alessandro Michele's mini-series "Overture of Something that Never Ended." Now, the singer's new starring role is inspired by Bethan Roberts' 2012 novel of the same name. His co-star, Corrin, received a Golden Globe nomination for her role as Princess Diana in Season 4 of Netflix's The Crown. The film is directed by Michael Grandage.

Release Date
According to the trailer, the film will make its theatrical debut in selected theaters on October 21 before premiering on Amazon Prime Video on November 4.
The Plot
Following the plot of Roberts' source material, My Policeman follows a gay romance set in the late 1990s. Married couple Tom and Marion offer the aged, invalid Patrick a bed in their home, but his arrival triggers numerous memories from their pasts. As a young couple in the 1950s, Marion met police officer Tom and fell in love with him. Unbeknownst to her, Tom was having a secret relationship with Patrick. However, given the political climate and public perception of homosexuality at the time, Tom married Marion, setting up a love triangle that lasts for four decades.
The Cast
In early 2021, producers Greg Berlanti and Robbie Rogers confirmed on Instagram that Styles would play the leading role of Tom with Corrin as his wife Marion. Later, actor David Dawson was cast as Patrick. The present-day versions of Tom, Marion, and Patrick are played by Linus Roache, Gina McKee, and Rupert Everett, respectively.
