Dune: Part Two stands out as one of the most highly anticipated films of the year, and for good reason. Featuring a stellar ensemble including Zendaya, Timothée Chalamet, Florence Pugh, and Austin Butler, this cast captivates audiences both on and off-screen. Following the success of the first installment released in 2021, fans have been eagerly awaiting the continuation of the saga which premieres on March 1.
During the promotion cycle for the first film, Chalamet and Zendaya have incorporated themes and aesthetics from the movies into their red carpet ensembles. Zendaya particularly embraced the desert aesthetic with more dystopian-esque outfits featuring unnatural silhouettes in neutral and brown hues, staying true to the essence of the films. As for Chalamet, his looks offered a darker color palette—playing into his character's costume—with sleek silhouettes, sharp collars, and silver accessories. As for newcomers Florence Pugh and Austin Butler, they seem to be following suit.
Pugh's character, Princess Irulan, is depicted in various white garments, adorned in elegant gold and silver accessories symbolizing wealth and power. Pugh exudes Princess Irulan's aura during her photocall in Mexico with her shiny and elaborate Galvan London two-piece look. She follows suit with another thematic Princess Irulan-inspired gown on the red carpet with a Standing Ground Spring/Summer 2024 sheer white dress.
Butler's new character, Feyd, is the definition of dystopian. The actor is almost unrecognizable in the film, sans hair or any distinct facial features. Lucky for us, Butler didn't go for this unsettling look on the red carpet, but his sleek and dark suits reflect Feyd's sharp, angled perspective.
