Yesly Dimate Channels Her Inner Blair Waldorf at Dior's Fall/Winter 2024 Show
Digital creator Yesly Dimate is living the American in Paris dream.
TikTok star-turned-actress Yesly Dimate is known for her comfy-stylish wardrobe that every fashion girl strives to achieve. She looks just as at-home in sweatpants and a white t-shirt as she does a two-piece leather set. After finding viral fame on TikTok and positioning herself firmly in the luxury fashion space, Dimate is soaking it all in—the food, the fashion, the travel. While in between Paris Fashion Week shows, you can find her scouring the city for the best croissant or sitting outside a café people watching.
Ahead of Dior's Fall/Winter 2024 show, L'OFFICIEL spoke with Dimate about some of her favorite things to do in the City of Lights, Fashion Week essentials, and favorite eras in French fashion.
L'O: How does Dior fit into your personal style?
Yesly Dimate: Dior is so classic and timeless and I love the silhouettes of their designs, it aligns with my personal style very well. I mean who doesn’t love to channel their inner Blaire Waldorf?
L'O: Who’s the most interesting person you’ve met during a fashion week?
YD: I was at NYFW a couple of weeks ago and I saw so many creators that I look up to and am friends with. I also saw Blake Lively and Nina Dobrev and definitely had a little fangirl moment.
L'O: Do you have any go-to spots when you're in Paris? Or something you're looking to do/see for the first time while you're there?
YD: I try to go to every café possible to try as many croissants as I can, so I don’t have a particular favorite yet (but will keep you all updated). I love sitting outside and just taking the whole city in. I really try to immerse myself in the culture whenever I am here, which mostly means practicing my French.
L'O: What are your fashion week essentials?
YD: I can’t go anywhere without my film camera or my vlog camera! I have been filming more because I am starting my YouTube channel very soon.
L'O: What’s a beauty product in your bag that you can’t live without?
YD: I always have a nude lip liner in my bag no matter where I am going. I use it as a blush sometimes too, so it's essential to have on hand at all times. My favorite is the Mac lip liner in Whirl!
L'O: What’s a fashion trend that you regret trying?
YD: I secretly tried the bleached brow trend and told nobody because it turned out so horrible. I had to dye my brows back immediately (don’t tell anyone.)
L'O: If you could go back to any era of French fashion, what would it be and why?
YD: I would go back to the '90s era, I love how they played with both the masculine and feminine sides of style with the matching skirt suits and layered jewelry. I tend to mix both styles in my day-to-day wear so identify with that era the most.
