Van Cleef & Arpels Opens New York Boutique on Madison Avenue
The Parisian luxury jeweler has moved into its third location in New York. This time, it opted a historical building on the Upper East Side.
Van Cleef & Arpels unveiled its latest boutique in New York City, which marks the French Maison’s third location in the Big Apple.
The new boutique is situated in a landmark building with a meticulously restored exterior on the corner of 62nd St. and Madison Ave. Stepping inside the historical building, the boutique spans five levels, each reflecting a different aspect of the brand’s history and artistry. “Opening our third boutique in New York City is a thrilling moment,” President and CEO of Van Cleef & Arpels Helen King said in a statement.
“The Maison has a long and rich history with the city of New York, and this new boutique is a crucial part of our future here," she continued. The first floor is intended to capture the energy and essence of New York City with its double-height ceilings and a Veronese chandelier that sets the tone for the space. Visitors are also greeted by curated artwork and original murals throughout the first floor.
The second floor intends to mirror the sophistication of a New York City penthouse, complete with greenery and hand-painted floral wallpaper throughout. The upper levels are reserved for exclusive, invitation-only experiences. The third floor, with its Art Deco-inspired design, showcases the Maison’s High Jewelry collections, while the fourth floor embraces Van Cleef & Arpels’ signature nature motif with delicate floral accents. The topmost level introduces a private event space featuring a fireplace, lounge, cocktail bar, and wallpaper crafted from local minerals, reflecting the boutique’s ties to the city.
The new store is now open to shoppers at 690 Madison Ave. Van Cleef & Arpels' other two retail spots include its historic flagship at 744 Fifth Avenue, in addition to a Hudson Yards storefront.
