The 2018 CFDA Awards Nominees and Honorees

Like the Oscars, but for fashion.

The Council of Fashion Designers of America in partnership with Swarovski is taking a different turn for its annual fashion awards this year. The CFDA Awards will be held at the Brooklyn Museum on June 4, and will be hosted by Insecure's Issa Rae (definitely a new vibe compared to the ballroom setting from previous years). There is no doubt that the council members are paying close attention to the hype of luxury streetwear designers like Virgil Abloh and Supreme's James Jebbia. From just an emerging talent nominee last year, Abloh is now up for two awards against Raf Simons, for Womenswear and Menswear Designer of the Year. Simons might have taken both awards home in 2017, but anything could happen this year.
