According to her mother, DNA isn't the only things the two share. Like many celebrity children who have access to their parents' wild wardrobes, Cruise is partial to borrowing from her mother's closet when the look calls for a certain extra touch. “[Suri] has her own sense of style and her own expressions,” Holmes told The Sunday Times in an interview. “Sometimes the basics definitely disappear. But that’s fine,” Holmes said, and shared that she “saved some things here and there” from her vintage collection for her retro-fashion-inclined daughter.
Longtime fans of Dawson's Creek—the '90s-era drama series, starring Holmes as Joey Potter, that still has generations in its thralls—have also noticed a few similarities between Cruise's recent street style looks and some of Joey Potter's most famous ensembles.
