Peach Fuzz is the Pantone's 2024 Color of the Year
Take a cue from the Spring/Summer 2024 runways and opt for peach outfits this year, a color symbolizing kindness, warmth, and modern elegance.
It's official, peach fuzz has been carefully chosen as the 2024 Color of the Year by the Pantone Color Institute. Each year, a hue is meticulously selected by a team of color experts, who search the world looking for influences found in everyday life, fashion trends, films, social media, art collections, global news events, and other shared experiences and relevant phenomenons. The team takes the emotion and language of color into account when choosing or creating a color, careful to consider the impact of even the smallest distinctions in hue and shade.
"In seeking a hue that echoes our innate yearning for closeness and connection, we chose a color radiant with warmth and modern elegance. A shade that resonates with compassion, offers a tactile embrace, and effortlessly bridges the youthful with the timeless," said Leatrice Eiseman, the executive director at the Pantone Color Institute.
The peaceful, serene hue evokes a feeling of tenderness and gentility, and according to Laurie Pressman, vice president of Pantone Color Institute, has a spirit that "embraces the mind, body, and soul."
The fuzzy tone has already been seen countless times on the Spring/Summer 2024 runways, popping up in jackets, bags, dresses, and shoes alike. Designers like Jil Sander, Missoni, and Balmain featured the warm, cozy tone in their collections, showcasing the power and impact of the unique hue in countless vibrant peach outfits.
